Fiordland's most remote wilderness is closer than you think: a short helicopter flight takes you to Doubtful Sound and Dusky Sound, with two landings in places few travellers ever reach.
Discover the beauty of Patea / Doubtful Sound, the largest and most spectacular of the Fiords, and Tamatea / Dusky Sound, for its rich history.
We land at Mt Pender, where we shut down the helicopter so you can soak in the grandeur. One of Fiordland’s largest and most remote fiords, Tamatea / Dusky Sound is 40 km long and dotted with more than 350 small islands.
Access to Dusky Sound is by sea or air only – very few people get to experience the beauty of this magical place.
Two remote alpine landings:
• Mt Pender, Tamatea / Dusky Sound
• Elizabeth Burn, Patea / Doubtful Sound
Our local pilots know every ridgeline in Fiordland, and nothing makes them happier than sharing their backyard with you.
From 1 April 2026, a temporary fuel surcharge will be applied to flights.
