Mount Kidd

Departing from our Lakefront Helipad, fly over Lake Te Anau, you’ll soon see the hidden wonders of remote Fiordland unfold. Crossing over the main divide, from beech forest, mountain slopes, alpine lakes, waterfalls, hanging valleys and snow-clad mountain tops.

A landing is made at Mt Kidd, a high alpine location with dramatic views. Mt Kidd has its own small lake with snow for around 11 months of the year. Sometimes our rare native bird, the kea, may visit while you’re there.
